NSS Group selects Assurent Secure Technologies as primary source of vulnerability research Montpellier, France - February 14, 2006 Partnership between Assurent and the NSS Group will benefit security product vendors and enterprise customers The NSS Group, the world’s leading independent security testing and certification facility, and Assurent Secure Technologies, the premier provider of vulnerability research for security product vendors, are pleased to announce that, effective January 1st, 2006, the NSS Group will use Assurent’s Vulnerability Research Service (VRS), signature feeds and Spyware Research Service as the primary set of threat data for its security product testing. NSS provides public testing and certification of Intrusion Prevention systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Unified Threat Management (UTM), Secure Content Appliance, firewalls and other security products. Assurent provides vulnerability and spyware research and related development services to security product vendors worldwide.
